Almost Time!

6 WEEKS AND COUNTING!!
May 14th can not get here soon enough! I am leaving on a Friday around 5pm and will get to Venice on the 15th.
I will pretty much talk to anyone that will listen about where I am going and what I am going to be doing.
I have been getting really good advice from people and relatives that have traveled there aka: Veronica, Unlce Mike & Amy.(thank you!!)
So I am now in the waiting stage and starting to think about what I am going to bring as far as clothes and stuff. I am really confident that I will be buying plenty there so probably wont be packing to heavy.
This week I have talked to Cristina, whom I will be staying with, and she gave me an insight into what her day is like. She gets off work around 3pm and then goes to get the kids from school. But she said when I am there that I can go get them!
Federico and Cecilia, 5 and 3, are going to a place called "English Land", where they learn and play with words in English. Cristina says they are excited about learning more English.

This is picture Cristina sent me. Look at the water! I plan to take the kids there ALL the time!!

Below is their house, where I will be staying while in Padova. Looks FABULOUS!

What I Know so Far

I decided to do a blog so that my friends and family can follow what I am doing in Italy for 7 weeks. I am going to post on this blog and on Facebook. I will do my best to capture what I am doing with words and pictures.

As many of you may know, I am going to Italy in May. My tentative date to leave is May 15. I will fly into Venice and the family I am staying with lives in Padova. I have been in communication with the family that I will be staying with. The mom's name is Cristina, not sure the dads name. They have 2 children, Frederico and Cecila(the little girl name is so cute). The kids are 5 and 3

She sent me an email today telling me the dates are perfect for me to come over. I haven't asked her what I will be doing specifically during the week but I am thinking I will be watching the kids during the week while the parents are at work. She has told me I will learn about their school. And entertain them with the swimming pool, park. On the weekends she says they travel to the mountains and beach, so that is really exciting.

I know I still have a few months until I leave but I just wanted to keep everyone updated.

Thank you for all the support!
